Kindergarten Registration will be on April 6, 2023, from 8:30 am -2:00 pm. Children must be five years old before September 1, 2023.

SCSd is partnering with Friends of Children of Mississippi, Incorporated Head start. Students can be eligible for both SCSd pre-K and Head start benefits. Each Campus will have a classroom.

Alex Yates has been named STAR Student for the 2022-2023 school year by the Mississippi Economic Council (MEC) M. B. Swayze Foundation, sponsor of the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program. Established by the Mississippi Economic Council in 1965, the purpose of the STAR program is to recognize outstanding students & teachers in Mississippi through its Education Celebration. Our theme this year is: The Pursuit of Excellence.

To be eligible to participate, the student must be age four (4) before September 1, 2023. Transportation will not be provided for Pre-K Students. All information will be verified and authenticated. Applicants may apply online or at the elementary office. Starting February 28, 2023. To be eligible to participate, the student must be age four (4) before September 1, 2023. The following documents will need to be uploaded with this application. Forms will not be accepted without the following information: 1. Birth Certificate 2. Immunization Records 3. (2) Two Proofs of Residency Transportation will not be provided for Pre-K Program

Smith County School District is looking to add a Pre-K class in each school. We will need a Pre-K Teacher and Teacher Assistant at each site.

Smith County Schools WILL BE OPEN tomorrow, February 2, 2023 SCSD has been made aware of a false text being shared among our students stating we will be closed tomorrow! This is false information. We will have regularly scheduled classes on Thursday, February 2, 2023.
