Smith County School District is hosting a Mandatory Pre-K Parent meeting on Aug 21, 2023 at Taylorsville High School Library. All Pre-K Students MUST have a representative (parent/guardian) present at the meeting.

Smith County School District partnering with Friends of Children of Mississippi Inc Head Start

SCSd is partnering with Friends of Children of Mississippi, Incorporated Head start. Students can be eligible for both SCSd pre-K and Head start benefits. Each Campus will have a classroom.

Swayze Foundation, sponsor of the Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program. Established by the Mississippi Economic Council in 1965, the purpose of the STAR program is to recognize outstanding students & teachers in Mississippi through its Education Celebration. SCSD Pre-K Application

To be eligible to participate, the student must be age four (4) before September 1, 2023. Transportation will not be provided for Pre-K Students. All information will be verified and authenticated.
